Prominent Vietnamese American poker pro Scotty Nguyen, nicknamed by poker industry members "The Prince of Poker," recently nabbed the first place prize in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Championship. Nguyen's incredible win of the H.O.R.S.E. World Championship makes him the first-ever poker player to have his initials engraved on the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy. Scotty Nguyen is the winner of the 1998 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main event. Nguyen is a highly active poker player, boasting over 100 money finishes from 2001 to 2004.

Commenting on his win, Nguyen was quoted as saying, "This is what I want, baby. It's my dream to win this event. You know, the Main Event - I already have it. The H.O.R.S.E. event, that was so important to me. I wanted to be the only man to ever win the Main Event at the World Series and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. and a WPT Main Event. And now I'm the only man that's ever done that."
