Prominent U.S. sports network Fox Sports Net and top poker entertainment provider World Poker Tour have recently announced the launch of a new poker TV series, called ClubWPT.com. According to WPT officials the new show, will feature six poker beginners from across the U.S. and Canada in a weekly battle for the opportunity to nab impressive cash prizes.

Poker fans interested in taking part in the show can earn entry by playing in "TV tournaments" on ClubWPT.com. Qualifiers will receive airfare to Los Angeles on Southwest Airlines, a two-night stay at the first-class Four Seasons Hotel West Lake Village as well as spending cash.

Steve Lipscomb, WPT Founder, President and CEO, was quoted as saying, "Poker is the only sport that allows the everyday Joe to go up against the professionals and win life-changing money and celebrity status.
