Proposed Casino in Maine doesn't catch on

At a coincidence outside the Oxford Public Meeting House, the residents of the town spoke out against the planed casino project that should be build along the Route 26 corridor.

Among the opponents were also state legislators and businessman Les Otten, who used to own once the Sunday River Ski Resort.

The residents are afraid of "false promises" and don't think it would do good to their economic situation.

The construction costs of the casino and resort will add up to 184 million Dollars. The poll on November 4th will define whether the project will be realized or not.
