Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Ed Moses recently confirmed his participation in the Par and Poker Celebrity Challenge for Charity scheduled o take place on January 29, 2009, in Tampa, Florida. The competition, to be staged by NFL Super Bowl Champion Seth Joyner and PGA Golfer Andy Walker, will include an 18-hole golf tournament and a N/L Texas Hold 'em tournament.

Co-Founder Seth Joyner was quoted as saying, "We are very excited to have Ed Moses take another swing at Par and Poker. [...]We are honored to have someone of his stature join the rest of our headliners at the star-studded event."

Among other prominent sportsmen expected to take part in the upcoming event are NFL stars Keith Byers and Lawrence Taylor as well as Baseball greats Ozzie Smith and Chili Davis. According to competition organizers, the N/L Texas Hold 'em tournament will provide winners with three seats to the poker world's most prestigious land-based competition, the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
