WSOP Champ Hachem Now Also WPT Champ

Australian 2005 WSOP Champion Joe Hachem recently collected as much as $3 million after winning the World Poker Tour's biggest tournament recently held at the Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournament is considered the second biggest poker event in the world of professional poker rivaled in terms of importance only by the annual WSOP main event.


Hachem's brother Tony was reported as saying that the poker champ was very excited about his incredible win. Indeed, Hachem eliminated a wide selection of seasoned poker pros on his way to the grand victory. However, this is not the first major win for the 39-year-old poker wizard. In 2005, Hachem took home the amazing first place prize of $10 million after conquering the WSOP main event.


The ex-chiropractor is tnow raveling with his family on tour. He is scheduled to participate in the $10 million Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure to be held in the Bahamas next week. Afterwards, Hachem will play in the Australian World Series at the capital's Crown casino facility. Hachem's WPT win makes him the fourth poker pro to be the champion of both the WSOP and WPT.
