Doyle Brunson is once again proving how much of a living legend he truly is. The poker pro is making his mark in an invitation-only championship tournament at this year's WSOP, heading into the final day with an impressive chip stack.

This latest WSOP contest has a more whimsical feel to it, but features two of the most legendary gamblers of all time. Late on WSOP Day 6, Doyle Brunson and Amarillo Slim convened for a mechanical scooter race through the halls of the Rio Hotel and Casino.

Rumors had been swirling around the Rio during the day that Slim, who is making his return to the WSOP this year, had been testing scooters the night before. However, industry insiders knew that while Brunson's scooter was allegedly faster, "Texas Dolly" also weighed more than Slim, which might slow him down.

No concrete numbers were announced, but rumors set the figure somewhere between $2,000 and $50,000. Each rider was required to zoom down a casino hallway towards a ring of cones, which they would circle twice before returning back the start line.

Each contestant ran separately, with Slim going first and recording a time of 50 seconds. Dalla estimated that the length of the course was about the same as two football fields. Slim motored down the hallway, lapped around the cones, and then circled back in just under one minute. Brunson then went and logged a time of 55 seconds.
