ePassporte Exits Online Game

Online gamblers in the United States appear to have one less payment processing option with the recent news that ePassporte may be closing its doors to poker rooms, online casinos. While the company has not confirmed any such development, this past Friday, players at Cake Poker were sent an email message from the poker website stating that ePassporte is no longer able to continue providing the online poker venue with financial services.

Ever since the news broke, posts have been flooding into the numerous online poker forums. Players at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, both high-profile sites, are also reporting their inability to deposit or withdraw funds using ePassporte.

According to reports circulating throughout the Internet, someone posted an email they received from Full Tilt Poker declaring the change as well. The message allegedly read, "You received this e-mail because you have made a deposit using ePassporte. We have recently been notified by ePassporte that they're no longer able to facilitate deposits or withdrawals between ePassporte and Full Tilt Poker player accounts. We apologise for this inconvenience which is unfortunately outside of our control."

No word has officially come from ePassporte yet announcing its decision to abandon the online gaming sector.

Should, in fact, ePassporte get out of the online gambling game, they will not have been the first to do so. Leading e-wallet NETeller, as well as others like FirePay, Citadel and EcoCard, have also folded their online gambling hands.
