It’s been revealed that Jeff Shulman, the president of Card Player Media, will hire Phil Hellmuth as his coach for the final table at the World Series of Poker, a $10,000 buy-in no limit Holdem tournament.

Shulman has experienced some degree of success in the past after coming in seventh position in the WSOP main event back in 2000. Phil Hellmuth is a poker legend who has won no less than 11 gold bracelets.

Shulman will be playing for a top prize of over $8 million after becoming one of only nine players out of 6,485 to reach the final. Play will start on November 7, and he will be coming up against Phil Ivey, who many consider the best player around at the moment. Shulman is in fourth spot going into the event with 19,580,000 chips.

Speaking to a news outlet, Shulman said that he was “looking for someone who could help me without changing my game,” and that he and Hellmuth “are somewhat similar” in their style of play.
