Various Omaha Poker Games
As with most Poker and casino games, for each one there are a number of variations. Given the way and speed in which the online gaming industry is progressing, is safe to say the number of variations of today's favourite games are only going to increase, and big time! Thus far into the online Poker biz, the all-time favourite Omaha Poker games include: Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha Hilo, Pot Limit Omaha Hilo.

How to Play Omaha Poker
In Omaha Poker, each player is dealt 4 cards known as ‘hole cards.' These belong only to the particular Poker player and not shared by the other challengers. After all the players have all been dealt their hole cards, the dealer then deals 5 community cards face-up on the Poker table.

The object in Omaha Poker is to build the strongest 5 card you can. To do this you use 3 of the 5 community cards in combination with 2 of you hole cards to build the best 5-card Poker hand. In the game of Omaha Poker, a "button" indicates which player is the designated dealer for the current Omaha Poker game.

Omaha Starting Hands
An Omaha Poker game begins when the player to the immediate clockwise position of the button posts what's referred to as the "small blind." The Poker player to immediately clockwise of the small blind then posts the "big blind." Afterwards, each player receives his/her 4 hole cards. The betting action continues around the table, beginning with the player to the immediate clockwise position of the big blind.

The "flop" - the first 3 community cards available to the players - is then dealt face-up on the table. The flop play starts with the player immediately clockwise to the button betting. When the flop round betting action is completed, the "turn" (the 4th community card) is dealt facing up. Once the ‘turn' round betting has been completed, the "river" (Omaha Poker's 5th and final community card) is dealt, you guessed it, also face-up, and again the wagering starts with the player sitting clockwise to the button.

When there is more than a single player remaining when the final betting round has been completed, the player with the best 5-card Omaha Poker hand is awarded the pot.
